Hi…I was wondering if anyone knows if A O Smith makes water heaters for other companies?? I was just reading an article about a recall on their propane hot water heater which mentioned that other brands such as Reliance,Apollo,State and Maytag were recalled. The reason is Im looking to purchase  a new water heater and if I can save some money by buying an “unkown” brand as opposed to the “best name” brand . I intrested in the natural gas heater. Are these other co. just stamping their name on the tank..but AO Smith is manufacturing it?? THANKS!!!!!
