   On horizontal runs, ABS will sag between hangers after you run hot water through it and look "snakey" forever. And, if you don't like white, PVC is paintable.

   ABS is more of a hazard in a fire, meaning, PVC is slightly safer.

   one thing you might check is your local plumbing inspector. Here in Idaho ABS is approved for DWV and PVC is not.

   *Fred, I always paint the PVC whatever color the roof is, it works well and makes for a nice detail that the customers like.Vince

   *Cast iron for waste (it is quieter. ABS for vents.
