Thinking about buying pc accounting software. Any recomendations? Quickbooks, Peachtree, Dac Easy? How about ease of use and suitability for contsruction businesses? Can it be used for estimates? I’m not an accountant. Thanks!

I am not an accountant either. I bought Quickbooks Pro, and had problems understanding the accounting principles. Then I bought a book from Craftsman Book Company called " Contractor's Guide to Quickbooks Pro ". The book comes with a CD that has sample files, programs and a working copy of Quickbooks Pro good for 25 uses to try it out. It was worth buying. Costs $39.95. Peachtree is the professional's favorite, hard to learn, but the best. At least that is what I have been told by accountant friends. Good Luck. TT
