I’m getting ready to color our new slab and have seen the results of several different hydrochloric acid type stains. I also saw a photo in The Log Home Book by CindyTeipner-Thiede and Arthur Thiede (p.51) of a floor treated with muriatic acid and linseed oil. Does anyone have experience with this method? Does it require a sealer in addition to the acid/oil mixture? How does it compare to the HCl type treatment?
