Hello all,
I need to add a 2″ PVC Wye into an existing 2″ PVC vertical drain. There is no slack in the existing drain configuration to be able to slip in the wye. What is the best way to install this wye? Use neoprene couplers?
Thanks.

You will need to use at least one Fernco coupler.
You can get pvc slip couplings(no stop) , but you got to be fast. Easier to use a fernco.
Thanks for the info, guys. That's what I'll probably do.
Just did something similar two weeks ago. I used the Fernco style that have the full bands around it and the rubber is thinner. What I did: 1. Loosen up the band and put it on the existing pipe ends, followed by the couplings. 2. Roll the exposed end of the coupling (which would go on each end of the wye) back onto itself. 3. Install the wye, roll the couplings onto each end of the wye, 4. Slip the bands over the rubber coupling, torque... done.
You might be able to use the thicker Ferncos with the clamps on each end, but you'll need to lube your pipes up well in order to fight them into place.
