What is the best way to connect the foundation of an addition with a full basement to a house with an existing crawl space?

More likely that I wouold view this the other way around. Since the addition has a full cellar, it underlies the existing. how to do this would epend a lot on what sort of foundation you have now
i.e. CMUs poured crete, piers, rubble stone...

Once you excavate the new addition lower than the existing crawl space and it footings, you'll will either have to underpin under the crawl space footings or build a foundation in front of it.
