Anyone used Advantech subflooring and have any good or bad experiences/opinions to share? I’m always skeptical when it comes to “new and better” but we used it a couple of weeks ago on 2 Habitat houses and it looks really promising. It’ll be interested to check it out after it’s been rained on for a month or so (these Habitat houses don’t go up too fast).
Basically, it appears to be treated (has a slight tint in color) 23/32 T&G OSB that is about ½ way between the price of OSB and plywood. They boast a 50 year warranty, and claim that delamination and swelling is not a problem as with regular OSB and plywood. It may be east coast US specific, since that’s where it’s manufactured. The manufacturer claims it to be a suitable subfloor for hardwood strip flooring, ceramic tile (with cement board I would assume), etc.
More information can be found at http://www.huberwood.com/advan.htm
Thanks,
Matt

Oops! Just searched the archives and found a very similar quarry not too long ago... Still, I think I'll leave the new one out there just incase there's some new information.
