Greetings dsd-
Now that we have pics of the question, it would be advisable for you to ask specific questions regarding the window in order to get more detailed answers.
Unless all you want is a vote.
Where are you located?

A vote would be good , but im up to the challenge. If it is worthwhile to save it.

does the ac stay in the window year round? is the bottom sash a slider? - looks like condensation problems have ruined the bottom frame - are there other windows that match this one? what condition are they in? is this a southern climate?
how much $ do ya have?
Hi David , The A.C is coming out this week , just there because it was easy for the weather , going to put it in the wall .the bottom is an old school slider(dont know how else to put it) , 4 panes on each side.the bottom track is brittle plastic.Kind of reminds me of the old bakery showcases. The sill prob needs to be replaced , with the frame , but since its free sliding panes, theres no sash(if im typing what is going on in my head right)
This is the only window that has not been updated , i think the Former owner just didnt want to shell it out.
Unfortunately no southern climate , IM up in Canada.
Money is like time , never have enough, but can always find some.
Hope this is not too confusing ...might just need jumper cables for my brain today.
you're fine - another vote for a new window -

Thanks for all the replies.
Just took a closer look at the window and poked around some more , Rot is pretty bad , so I am going to look for a replacement , Supersix(6mil plastic) and tuck tape should do for now I think.Who is it , darling?
It's a 'Mr. Death' or something. He's come about the reaping? I don't think we need any at the moment.
For me, there's just too many problems there to try to repair that window. So my vote is for replacement.
It's and odd design, its old -- way old best i can tell -- and the rot is extensive.
Unless you're the lead dog, the view just never changes.
repair ... then replace.
demo the old ... repair the hidden rot ... resize the opening to standard ...
then replace with a new window.
