Remodeling my kitchen.
The details are a brick veneer exterior with the 1 inch gap then homosote sheathing nailed to the studs.
I reframed a window and door, causing much of the homosote to be ripped off. No way to sheath the wall properly because the brick blocks access.
I suspect the brick veneer will not act as a wind barrier, so what are my options. I will obviously insulate, but fiberglass batts and plastic between them and the drywall will limit the R value of the fiberglass with wind blowing through it. Does this make sense? I live in Wash DC area, so it can get cold enough to care.
