Air Supply to Return Distance
Can anyone direct me to an online resource that explains how air supply vents and registers are supposed to be laid out?
I work in a small office building and the landlord is having his building maintenance staff install returns in offices that do not have them currently.
I have an office approx. 10’x10′ with a supply centered in the room. They installed the return one tile away from the supply – thereby separating them by 2′ in a 100 sf room. Shouldn’t the supply and return be located at opposite ends of the room from each other?
Thanks

Being too close just sucks out what you've just blown in. Further apart is better.
