I’m planning to add a screened porch to my house. However, because of the second floor windows, I will only be able to put about a 1/12 pitch on the roof. One roofing supplier recommended a rubber membrane go down under the 3-tabs. It seals around the roofing nails. Another supplier recommended not using 3-tabs, but glue down a rubber roof that’s granulated to look somewhat like asphalt shingles. I live in the SE, so snow or ice dams are not a problem. Any other opinions for such a flat roof?

It isn't recommended, but I've done several using the ice and water shield on the entire deck with three tab shingles. Flash it carefully where it hits the house.
