Hi –
Looking for some insight into the repair of an old bathroom installation of painted aluminum tiles (these used to be sold by sears in the 20’s or so). I need to re-affix a few tiles and refinish some that have the finish worn off from water dripping over time. Any help much appreciated.
Backing material is plaster (house is circa ’27); from what little I know you need to use a latex mastic to lay the tiles because of the galvanic reation with alkali bonding agents. Is this correct?
Just looking for a little of your knowledge or experience…
