I always used “Sheetrock” brand and “USG” wallboard. Seems local suppliers around my area are carrying a canadian brand wallboard called “Farage”. Anyone use this product ? To me , it seems like the taper is too shallow for the “proper” method of finishing the panels. Usually its the tape coat ( still in the tapered edge). Then the fill coat , 6 inch knife fills the taper, and wipes off on the untapered face , leaving a nice filled taper. Finally a skim with the big knife. With “FARAGE” brand, the tape is flush with the finished surface , and still visible after the 3rd coat. Suppliers tell me nobody has complained about the product. With a light layer of mud under the tape , it should not be higher than the finished face of the board. Need to know if anyone else noticed this.
