who doesn’t have the colored buttons on my screen anymore? Luckily I know where the “more”, “edit” and “reply” buttons are without being able to read them, but it’s got me wondering if it’s me, or the site. Anyone?

It's you.
Scrape some of that white-out off of the screen.
b : )
*Sorry, Jim. I have 'em! But there have been times when they haven't been there. They comes and gos. Mostly comes....er...nevermind.Rich Beckman
*Well, hey, do either of you know how I can get them back? Is it a "preference" setting or something? And no, I haven't gotten into Kathy's home brew...yet.
*Clear your browser cache.Hold down ctrl or alt and hit reload. I forget which button it is. You'll have to do this at the front page, not while you are reading this post.If that doesn't work, turn the browser completely off, and then start it up again.
*Right. (what's a reload? Is it supposed to be on my keyboard, or screen, or what?)
*Dear Santa, Please bring me a new puter' I love you JIM
*Wait a second there, Keith. We just bought this one in '95.
*Nuff said
*You're using IE aren't you ?Someone want to tell him how to clear the cache ? I use netscape.
*Yeah, Internet Explorer.
*Yer doomed, buddy. Doooooomed.Awright, ok, I'll *cough choke gasp* open up IE and see if I can figure it out for ya.Wait right here...b : )
*Ok try these...There is a button at the top of your screen called refresh.Hit that button. No, no, I mean, put the cursor arrow on the button and left click.Still no colored buttons ?Hold down ctrl and click that button.Hold down alt and hit that button.Hold down shift and hit that button.Still nada ? Ok, go further up the screen to 'tools'. Click that, and choose 'internet options' from the menu there.Look for two buttons. 'Delete files' and 'Clear history'.Hit both of those buttons. When you hit the delete files button... in the menu box, check the box that says 'delete all offline content', then hit 'ok'. When you hit the 'clear' button, just hit ok in the next window. Now, shut down the browser and start it back up. If you still don't have buttons, I don't know what else to do at this point.
*Tried all those, thanks anyway, Luka. Maybe things will look different in the morning. Good night. 'night to you too, Rufus.
*Rufus is ignoring everyone. I made him a new bed with styrofoam insulation today, and he's in sleepy dog nirvana now.
*Youre right Jim you are alone and theyre out to get ya....
*Jim --- Do you have any other software running that affects the browser? For instance, there's a program called AdSubtract which is supposed to remove banner and pop-up ads. It does that fairly well, but it also occasionally removes other things too. If you've got something like this running, try turning it off, and see if your buttons return. Jamie
*sometimes if my internet connection gets slow the buttons take forever to show up.sam
*If all these suggestions fail, go to internet explorer - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - Restore Defaults. I use a program called proxomitron which is good for blocking unwanted popups, and other nonsense, but it does make my Add Discussion button go clear. Something like that might be your problem.
