I just bought an Andersen patio French door that swings out. The dealer said the lockset starts at about $200 from Andersen. Do I have to go with an Andersen lockset or is there another option out there? Does that price seem kind of high?

Baldwin makes "replacement" sets for Anderson patio doors.
$200 doesn't seem too bad. I think we paid more than that for an antiqued nickel set.
Go for the three point locking system.
is it a single or double door? if it is single i have a new lockset I got at 75% off that i can't use, I'd have to look up the price but it was under $40.
Your're kidding.......... Its a single #29611 .
I have two actually: part #2577501 which I believe is the newbury in satin nickel, and part #2578927 which I believe is the Encino in distressed bronze (this one was more expensive). I'll try to dig up the invoice if you are interested.
............should I assume that you aren't interested in either of the locksets?
