Hey Gang-
Well, I got my first order to install Andersen Tilt-Wash Conversion Kits into existing Permashield Narroline Windows. Does anyone have any insight or tips?
Appreciate the feedback!

Once you do the first one and understand what your suppose to do, the rest go real easy. Its been a couple of years ago that I used them. Went OK till I got to one that the wood inside the sill had rotted out. Didn't notice it when I measured up the job. Since I already had the kit w/sash, I had to order just the narroline frame. I did stain all the sash and accessories before I started the job, so once I had them in, I was done.

Thanx for the info. I've been told that if the side jambs are 'hour-glassed' I need to straighten them out or the sashes will not tilt easily........ Other then that, like you said, after the first one it should roll......
You can order just a replacement sill, for Andersen windows, if the wood is shot inside.....easier then replacing a whole frame....not too expensive.
Thanx again!

I had to order the whole frame-the only way you could get it. Good that I did, when I took it out the side jambs were starting to go bad also. When I found that, I checked the other frames pretty close, but the rest seemed to be solid. Don't know why just the one frame was bad. There was other windows with the same exposure.
