Another Foundation Waterproofing Questio
I have been looking in the archives, and I see a lot of conversations about various ways of waterproofing a block foundation. (All of them make the obvious statement that a drain tile is required).
My question is regarding waterproofing an existing foundation. After digging out, you have a rather dirty block wall. About the only thing that seems to be available is this dimpled membrane from various sources. Any experiences with it?
Any other thoughts? (About waterproofing; reading the Tavern says that you guys have a LOT of thoughts about things.)

I used a dimpled membrane on my house (Concrete foundation) and thought a great deal of it. I couldn't be happier.
Regarding the mud on the foundation - I let mine air dry for a couple of days, then scraped off all the loose stuff. (You could also power wash it)
I'll never build another house without a foundation wrap like that...
I've used the "dimple membrane" (miradrain/miradry)and they worked great. But we have also used a hotmop or a penetrating water proofing "paint". But this has mostly been in SoCal, where rain and hydrosatic pressure haven't been too much of a problem. http://www.triumphgeo.com/products/miradri.html
Used it once on the Wash coast and a few locals looked at me real funny
