Hi!
Next to my house, where I am installing a window well, I have dug a 6″ hole down about 103″, which I believe has gotten me just above the drain tile. I can hear a hollow sound when I bang on the bottom of the hole with the post hole digger. Now, am I going to have to break through and into a pvc pipe? Or am I just going to dig into a layer of stone? I plan to use a 4″ pipe in the hole, up to the level of the window well. Should I use any special type of pipe?
Thanks for you help.
P.S. I am using a manual post hole digger.

Not a good idea to break what is there!
That must be a long pair of handles on your post hole digger!
