Anyone here have success with Toolking?
About a year ago, I ordered an air compressor which was damaged when it arrived, I returned it for another which was also damaged, so I returned it & bought one locally. Granted it likely occured during shipping – but it didn’t seem very well protected in the packaging.
Just last month I ordered a reconditioned Dewault heavy duty joist & stud drill, & just this morning it started sparking & smoking.
Am I just the unlucky one or is does Toolking.com have a higher than normal rate of failure? I’ve ordered dozens tools of all kinds from Amazon & only once did I have to return it.

I've had good success with ToolKing. It sounds like you've had a bad run of luck.
A couple of months ago I ordered a reconditioned Bosch Colt router from CPO Bosch. The second time I used it the collet lock wouldn't work and I couldn't change router bit. It's the first time I had a problem with a reconditioned tool; it could happen with a new tool too.

Got a reconditioned impact driver from them. No problems.
Ordered some laminate last week that was shipped rolled in a box. Forklift fork hole all the way through the box and laminate.
Buddy ordered a bosch router. Loved it. Ran twice and quit.
I think the problem is not with the suppliers, but the shippers and factories.
I should note that the two boxes of nails I ordered from Toolking worked fine...
I ordered a reconditioned belt sander from them (through Amazon). It arrived damaged. Like you I thought the packaging was completely inadequate.
They replaced it, even though my return got lost by UPS.
