Please help!
I am trying to figure out how to build a small tub/shower stall out of mosaic tile. I was thinking that a plywood frame covered in cement board would do the trick then using a thinset mortor, tile every surface…
I guess I am looking for someone who has attempted this kind of thing.

Erik:
You've got a long way to go. I suggest reading Setting Tile by Byrne to get a feel for whats going on then ask questions.

*Erik,No.If you are on a wooden floor...scratch coat and render with a mud floor.. if on a slab, brick and render...either way set out final tolerances/measurements to work full tile wherever possible.Waterproof after render but before tiling.Happy cleaning.
*Erick, send me an e-mail, I'll give you some guidance on getting started. The detail is too long for this chatroom.
