Was channel surfing the other day and went past HGTV, where someone was applying a new plaster-like material that finishes to be a real good limestone look-alike. Trowel it on horizontal or vertical suface, score it to form “tiles”, and treat it with alcohol to release the subtle colors in the product. Finished result looked good, but I never got the name. Web site doesn’t tell me anything. Anyone know what this suff is??
Thanks!

Yeah, ha ha and all that, but the fact is I was doing what I said. I am not too proud, however, to say that after 25 years in construction, I still learn about new materials and techniques on "those shows". So yuk it up while I increase my knowledge base. The High Desert Group LLC
I do hope you realize my comments were completely in jest.
I often stop by those shows while channel surfing myself. I too have picked up odds and ends regarding new products and materials over the years....the techniques however, can be rather disheartening by and large.J. D. Reynolds

Ya gotta love the professional (ROTFL) tool usage though. BTW, still looking for the product name. The High Desert Group LLC
It's made by Ritins Studio in Toronto. Don't know the product name. They don't appear to have a web page, but a google brings up articles about them.
Their tn is 416-467-8920.

Ya see....who says thread hijacking is a bad thing?
Sometimes it keeps a thread that otherwise might die, alive?
Hope the previous responses got you the info you were looking for.J. D. Reynolds

Thanks for the info, folks. I'm always looking for new interior finishes that I can do myself as opposed to subbing. The High Desert Group LLC
