You need a friend in Canukistan. Up here, you don't see anything but Robertsons on the shelves in every hardware store (except for Piffin screws, of course).
What's a GRK? Never heard of it....

Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
The GRK screws we get in the USA are from Canada (packaged there anyway--actually made in Germany and Taiwan). Since they are from Canada and have advantages over Robertson, I'm suprised you aren't familiar with them. The GRK torx drive lag screws and structural screws are amazing. Their cabinet hanging screws and trim screws are also better than anything else I've tried.
My local yards keep a fairly good assortment of 'standard' specialty screws in stock, things like white truss heads and washer heads for use with Melamine board, TapCons, powder-coated PT screws, yadda-yadda. All the normal 'special' stuff. If I need something abnormally special, I usually order from Lee Valley, which has a very good assortment of weird stuff including Rosehead nails, cut nails, undercut cabinet screws and drawer-slide screws, SPAX screws, T-nuts, threaded inserts, Bed bolts, countertop bolts, toggle nuts, KD hardware sets, housed rivet sets, oval heads, even slot heads (as if I'd want them, LOL). You gotta see their hardware catalogue. Make ya salivate....
But I've never seen or heard of GRK's before. I checked the link that was posted earlier in this thread but didn't find the site particularly informative as there were no images of the stuff. I can't particularly see why I'd want a Torx-head lag; in the sizes I use lag screws, I'm usually driving a 14 or 17mm hex head with a pneumatic impact gun. I keep a basic set of ΒΌ"-Hex Torx bits around for use in the screw gun or my PicQuick, but I doubt they go large enough to handle a 3/8x8" lag screw....

GRK's website is lame, but their stuff is really worth trying.I thought the same thing about the torx lags. Then I gave 'em a go. They are made with a stronger steel alloy than standard lags, so a slightly smaller diameter lag can be used, they are self-tapping (though I do drill pilots), are ACQ rated, and have washers built into the heads. They almost climb right into the wood by themselves ;>) Even without pilot holes they are easier to drive than hex lags. Now I don't have to reach for the socket set. The GRK's are much easier to drive flush too.Around here, I get them from UBC or the local "Do it Best" hardware (neither HD nor Menards carry them). I do use Robertson's with the Kreg Jig and really like using the Kreg 1-1/4" Robertson's for installing postform laminate countertops. Otherwise, I've mostly switched over to GRK torx screws. Edit to add: I checked and they make 3/8" lags up to 16" long! Really they work great. They use a T-30 bit.

Okay, if I run across them I'll give 'em a try. You never know without trying something....

Tickle your boyish fantasies on your own.
Snicker.
Nobody, McFeely's is just down the road in Lynchburg.
If I'm in the area, I drop in and pick up. Otherwise UPS has it to me the next day if I call before noon.
Before my cousin introduced me to McFeely's I bought Robertsons at a local supply, Moore's. Then they got snooty and decided that if you weren't a GC they didn't want your business.
Moore's has since pretty much gone toes-up. "Too much competition from Lowe's and HD" was the line.
Oddly enough, Red Ball, which has been in business before Moore's was thought of, is still selling to anyone that walks in the door with either a good cheque or a credit card.
