Anyone Using Zip System Roof Sheathing?
Spent a few hours at JLCLive! yesterday and as usual, found lots of good looking products I’d never used. Like this Zip System roof sheathing. Looks great, especially after spending the past month fighting the blue tarp wars trying to keep a remodel dry through wind and rain.
Anyone have any experience with it?

Maybe you can find his comments with a lucky search here.
I think there have been a few other occasional comments. My impression was that it can be fine, but takes time to make it 100%.

Thanks Paul. Maybe he'll chime in.
Usually when I ask a question Sunday I get a few responses Monday. Hopefully that will be the case again this time.

Thanks, Matt. Lots of first hand experience there.
We use it exclusively. It is as good a product for roof sheathing as Advantech is for decking. Several features that I like.
1) Built in spacer. No more putting in clips or nail spacer
2) Nice traction. Very easy to walk
3) The tape is relatively easy to use once you figure out how to load the machine and set the tension.
4) I use Ice and water in the valleys -not the zip tape.

I'm going to look into it. Our local yard doesn't carry it (or Advantech) but they DO get materials from the local distributer. If enough of us start asking for/ordering in a certain product they'll start stocking it (I would think).
Jim,
I talked to Rick Arnold about it and he say's he loves it. I'm very tempted to try it on something. We are looking to get into entry level homes at the start of next year beause that still seems to be selling around here.
Huber is offering a rebate for first time use too.

Seems like a great help to dealing with our wet building climate, doesn't it?
And I meant to tell you last week that we recently bought some used alluminum scaffolding and have it set up over on Browns Point if you'd like to come test ride it. We like it a lot.
