Alas, Dudley, I find your praise about as accurate as your spelling, your sentiment sweet, but semi-senile. Perhaps your obsession with tools is turning you into one.

Come on guys, give Dudley a break, he may be Gabe's brother-in-law!
*Alternate universe? I think Gabe's a decent guy, but "Gabe never poked fun at a person's qusetion or belit[t]led that person" is obtuse.Of course sarcasm has occasionally marred this board...
*Gabe,Looks like you have a fan.I like your post too, but I'd never tell you that.Ed. Williams
*Dudley,The old nose is looking a little brown there isn't it? On certain topics, in this forum, dogma on one side resists heresy on the other. Personalities clash and flames abound. Some of us take the verbal violence as good fun and don't for the most part participate, because no lines have been drawn. Your friend, among others, may be more tolerant of questions, than of answers and personalities that don't mesh with their own. I haven't yet refered to others as as**oles, and I don't plan to start. Let's not draw any lines now.
*Mike, you're much too balanced. I'm starting to suspect that you have multiple personalities and actually make up the majority of the participants here.

Gee Gabe, thanks for all the great advice on installing the glass. Den

Mike, wasn't flaming dogma that old Halloween Trick? Ring the door bell, run like hell...

>I've been logging on to this site for a few months. From the start, I wondered, 'Who the heck is Gabe?' He always gives good advice (soemtimes its not what you'd like to hear becaue it is the right way -- costs more and takes longer), but I also saw some that were poking fun at Gabe because he was pretty straightforward -- someone would ask a question, he'd give advice on the way we'd really like to do soemthing but soemtimes because of time and money don't. Even though some poke fun, Gabe was professioanl and generally never stooped to add fuel to the fire of those that were envious.
Gabe never poked fun at a person's qusetion or belitled that person -- Thanks Gabe for providing some pretty good advice to those who do not have your experience.
Just incase you are wondering who the heck I am - was a bricklayer during college summers, use to be a cabinet maker in Austria (took a European-out from the Army and stayed an extra 16 months), since then I have toally remodeled the five houses I have lived in for the last 23 years -- don't think there is a tool made that I do not have and use on a regualr basis or a home repair job I could not do. Thanks Gabe.
*Dudley,Go to the FHB personal tribute site at and post your note.
