Are there any good asphalt sealers?
I’ve tried the best at the big box stores, and probably the worst, and a few in between. I haven’t found any that seem to last, or don’t have a funky color, or come off on basketballs; tennis shoes when hot out. What’s the deal on this stuff? Do you have to get a pro to shlep thick black goo?
Help me out with a good recommendation. I’ve got one small driveway and a large one to do.
Thanks.

Unfortunatley most of the "sealer" that you buy in stores, and much of what is sold by "professional installers" is nothing more than thick paint. The sealer has to have some sand-like fines to seal the small cracks and fissures in the asphalt. You might try contacting the engineering dept of the state highway maintenace office and ask for recommendations.
