“Deck Boards Done Right” FHB 202 pp 44-49 March 5, 2009:
This article describes how to use 3″ wide strips of roofing felt or similar on top of deck joists to keep water from rotting deck structure, but the photos show a continuous layer of paper draped over the joists, but never discusses it. Please explain, since I have never seen this done before.
Thanks,
Bobalu

Didnt they also mention using pond liner and draping it so water flows out in the troughs ?
