   Dunno about the Astro, but the Honda Odyssey from about 2000 on can do it (though to a max thickness of about 2", since the sheets must fit under the back edge of the front seat, at least on older models), and late models of the Toyota Sienna can do it (don't know what thickness limitations may apply).

   Interesting but I think my local lumber yard only lets in white ford or chevy vans!

   Anyone have info about the Astro?

   Aw, you can stick a Chevy badge on the Honda -- no one will notice.

   Several years ago I was considering an Astro van and measured for plywood carrying. I believe that it will accept full sheets but only up to a certain height. Then they impinge on the front seats or the rear lid... I don't recall. My chief concern about the Astro, and the reason I did not purchase one, was: Where does one put his left foot while driving the thing? Damned uncomfortable drivers compartment I think.

   I bought a Eurovan. It has its own plywood carry "problem" but it drives like a dream. I like it a lot.

   My left foot

   I agree with your "where do i put my left foot" comment. I drove one today and its very cramped for the feet. Problem is i need one to get in the underground parking etc otherwise i'd gladly get a full size van. Also, i am only looking at short trips (20 minute max) so i guess i can live with it.

   it will take 4x8 sheets which fit kind of under the back of the seats. the seats are mounted on pedestals and from there the seats jut out rear ward and slope back as well. not sure what the height limit for sheet goods would be but looks like 3-4"(?).

   i am curious if anyone has any experience with them though.
