I have a door set-up my wife calls “atrium doors.” There are 2 of them, 36″ x 77″. One side is stationary and has a big pane of glass in it; the other side is the actual door, which swings on hinges and has several panes of glass. I can figure out how to hang the door on the hinges easily enough, but it’s not readily apparent to me how to install the non-moving side. Can anybody help? Thanks!

Is this a door unit or something you're cobbling together?

Very nice. What kind of locks/latches did you use on the inside? I'm trying to figure out how to secure the sliding door I put on my shop.
the latch? havent figuered it out yet i have a simple raw latch in the sides right now that works ..only thing is you cant open it from the outside if the latch is closed...fine for this application...you can get nice sturdy draw latches on lineasa for the seal...garage door bottom seal and commerical grade pile around the top and sides , seals very nice , i would live to have an infarred camera so see just how good it is..dont meen to steal a post ..
I think Bosshog posted a link to some pretty nice barndoor hardware not to long ago.
Might be worth asking him. Mike

something doesn't sound right about this setup. normally both would have matching lites, not one large and one multi.
are you thinking of using this as an exterior entry door or to divide spaces inside?

Atrium doors sold by the Atrium door company fasten the stationary panel to the jambs via nailing thru the backside of the jamb. How others do it I couldn't say.
