Seems like I should be able to figure this out…hav’nt yet. When looking at a photo in the threads and am done viewing it. How do it get rid of it, and return to the previous area? Miami

You mean how to get back to the thread you were reading?
Hit your browser's back button. Your browser should then show the post that contained the picture in the "main" frame.
OR
When opening them, right-click on the attachment and select "Open in new window". This'll open a new browser window, and the first window (that contained the post w/ attachment) will be "hiding" behind the new window.

MUCH better, when viewing an attatchment, that you right click and choose to open the attachment in a new window. Because it is not uncommon for you to hit the browser's "back" button, and find yourself in the twilight zone, NOT back to the page you were on just before...
