My attic space is minimal… and what I have is maxed out. I need to gain more useable space in the attic. Take a look at the photo and offer suggestions. There is lots of space on the right side but I can’t get to it. Thoughts on making an entry (to the right side of the attic blocked by rafters?) with a header or joist or something?

Ok why did my Father In-Law post a pic of his attic?
LOL
Looking at the other post of renovating doormers. Is the space you are looking at over the front door?
Maybe ask Boss Hog to see if there is a way to re brace the roof trusses to get more room. Other than that what about one big long doormer along the back side of the house so it is not seen from the street?

Tham ain't roof trusses. And - Like others have said - I wouldn't give out any advice on this one without a lot more detail, or having seen the job personally.
I had a friend who was a clown. When he died, all his friends went to the funeral in one car.
Ok, ok... I'll work on getting more photos... the space on the left is flat, covered in boxes/stuff and over the galley kitchen. The angled walking space (another 'thing' I'd like fixed) is part of the tray ceiling of the living room. The front door is way off to the left. I'll try to clean up a little for the next photo shoot.
I got lotsa ideas...some of them even good......first off the top of my head would be to clean it out and call a remodeling carpenter for a bid.
This is way too complex to dicest over the internet. Jeff

Jeff, you're way right, man. Too little info yields too small ideas.
Speaking of which, do you ever get two of those ideas bouncing around in that skull at the same time run into each other? Would we call it a head-on wreck if they did?
LOLExcellence is its own reward!
Maybe a few more photos would help. Also, descriptives of what's under that ledge on the right, vaulted ceiling? what?
An option would be to floor it as best you can, and then add shelves on the supports diagonal at the right. I have a somewhat similar situation I am working on at my place. The framers did a blind valley plus I have a situation like yours for the vault in the master bedroom. I plan on putting some sheathing there and hooks for wreaths and really light stuff. It'll be at an angle, but so what?
Are you just talking about quick easy storage or a project?
