Hello,
I’m seeking some ideas for covering the usual unsightly attic pull down staircase cover. I thought of using drywall, but finishing it to blend with the surrounding moulding was not working. Any creative ideas here?

Hi Zendo,It's located at the end of a hallway, near entrances to other rooms.
Thanks, for any ideas.Ken
Ummm... Tough one to eliminate.
Seems to me there are 2 directions. You can low profile the door and molding, or blend the rest of the ceiling in.
If you were to think of a low pro, I would finish the butt edge of the rock, and use 1/4 inch birch ply for the door. Prime and sand, paint to match the ceiling.
The other thing I was thinking is what if you blended the rest of the ceiling of the hall in by making a lattice work like coffered? Even painted, I think it would give any space a 'rich' paneled look.
