My cabin has a well system including submersible pump with check valve, bladder pressure tank, check valve at the tank with manual air valve on the pump side, pitless adaptor 3 feet below ground level and orifice bleeder 5 feet below ground level. I was hoping to drain the drop pipe to below the frost line through the the brass orifice bleeder with small brass ball by breaking the vacuum with the the manual air valve. However nothing happens when I open the air valve except a little water squirts out. This system worked well when I was using my old pump without check valve and no orifice bleeder. Can I get some help figuring out what going on?
