I’m thinking of putting heat cables in the grout bed under slate tiles in the kitchen and entry to take the chill of the floor. I would like to hear from someone who has used the electric cables. Why is hydraulic so much more common? Is electric more expensive to operate? If so, how much and what is the expected life span?
