I am getting mixed messages about backfilling my daylight basement retaining walls. They are two 38 foot walls eleven feet high and 8″ thick. The floor is a concrete slab I have seen and heard some horror stories about concrete walls bowing in. I have heard the usual 28 days, but others say not until the interior walls and deck is down. My problem is I have to move the backfill material ASAP and I will not be doing any framing until the spring.
