Gonna order the white oak flooring (3/4).
What ratio of clear and #1 have you folks used? I’d like some character without culling through every piece.
Thanks

what would you be culling out???
Oak these days varies widely in grade.
depends on the mill, the sawyer, the grader, the supplier etc..
I have seen white oak as uniform as pergo as well as red oak...
have also seen oaks that have every shade in the rainbow...
you really have to find a supplier who understands what you are looking for.

Done, done and done. Great supplier and good material. Ordered 20% more for #1 to cull the funk and make it interesting. He earned it.Troy Sprout
