I am looking for the best way to insulate my underground basement. I have recently completely excavated the exterior wall to the footing, waterproofed it with black emulsion paint and installed new footing drains.
I would like to insulate the inside bare concrete walls but am not sure of the best method. Should I use rigid foam sheets glued(?) directly to the wall or build a studwall or are there any other recommended methods? I am concerned about trapping residual moisture as no water proofing is 100%.
