I am getting ready to put the flooring in my basement. I am searching for someone who has installed the Delta Fl system (ref. f.h. #123 pg.122). The artical suggest using 1/2 plywood. I would think 5/8 or 3/4 tongue and groove sheeting would be the way to go.

Delta FL has been discussed here. Try search, and visit the mfgr site, http://www.cosella-doerken.com/deltafl/index.html.
*Really? To be flat-out candid. After looking at their website, I think this stuff and their claims remind me of the days when travelling snake-oil salesmen peddled their miracle cures from covered wagons.Yeah, right. Cover the floor of a damp basement and drive the moisture to the perimeter. Let the wall framing and sheetrock soak it up.....that's healthy for the kids, eh?I especially liked the "Success Stories" of the distributor/peddlers.There's a sucker borne every minute.
*Hey Jeff ...S'up, man ?Dehumidifyers and sump pumps ... oh, love those mechanicals. Or simply dig a deep pit and suck on that siphon hose.tedd
*Hey tedd,Where you been (N of the 48th?)Yeah about a year or so ago I had this bleeding, oozing sore on my left butt cheek. The financial analysts tried to burn it off and even tried to hook up a rubber hose to suck the puss out. I even had one character sew a rubber patch on my Levi Strauss Red Labels that guaranteed to drain the scourge into hollows of my Vasque boots. And then the "hand of God" awoken me in the middle of a lonely nite on channel 13. It made all the sense in the world, loose 397 Imperial quarts (or was that litres?) of moldy/black/oooozing puss for $ 19.95(US) plus shipping.I can't relate how much my life has changed!!!!Today, I am proud to tell YOU......I cruise my dark and DRY basement in my own private Cessna Citation, entertain my worst enemies on my private yauht and am "TOTALLY PUSS FREE"!!!!! My babies crawl around on "safe concrete" likened to a waveless waterbed.Yes, tedd, life is good. I sell rubber sheets for wet basements and I have found Nirvana in the eyes of those who realize the benefits of changing their Johnson and Johnson Tommy bandaid rather than taking the excavation bandaid. And tedd, baby, I don't mind telling you......I feel "Soooo good" when I unwrapped that roll of antibiotic coil of "special stuff" and layed it down on the cellar floor!!!Finally, at last, I feel like a "REAL MAN" who has done his homework/his absolute best to protect his babies from the dreaded "wet basement". And I even saved enough to buy one of those twin seater water sleds, eh?BTW, do you know of a cheap online source for a Dehumidifier and a sump pump? And what is that black gunky stuff having a puss festival under my basement hardwood floor? Perhaps if we ignore it or turn the music up, it will go away, eh?
*Golly, did someone run out of Metamucil?Seriously, as i understand it the stuff is well thought of. And no, you shouldn't put anything in a WET basement without dealing with the moisture first. Search the archives, it came up a while ago. Adrian and Rob know something about it.
*I could be wrong Andrew. Actually, I've plenty of fibre in my diet.But.........I could still be wrong.
*"I could be wrong"... I think we have a breakthrough for you here, jj! ;)
