What is the proper way to frame and insulate a basement wall?
This is an 8″ poured concrete wall on a walkout basement so water pressure behind the walls does not seem to be an issue. The soil around the perimeter of the house drains well. The walls do “discolor” slightly from the humidity in the summer when the air outside is hot but the basement walls are cool. I would imagine that the specifications would call for a closed cell insulation as opposed to fiberglass but should there be a vapor barrier? Should I apply a closed cell insulation against the walls prior to framing or lay the wall against the concrete and insulate between the studs?
Any suggestions?

I guess I should have researched this a little bit more. I found several articles on this subject. The most informative from buildingscience.com as was suggested here.
Thanks for the help.
