Greetings Jules,
This post, in response to your question, will bump the thread through the 'recent discussion' listing again.
Perhaps it will catch someones attention that can help you with advice.
Cheers

I had good luck with Manhatten acrylic shower stalls (neo angle); I put in two. they are made in Canada. Definately I go for acrylic over fiberglass but I'm looking for new manufacturers myself. thanks for asking.
I've never been disappointed with Warm Rain bath fixtures.http://www.warmrain.com/index2.htmlThey make a good variety of shower stalls, tubs and whirlpool tubs, including a 60 x 60 ADA approved shower.
I have had alot of good luck over the years with Lasco.

Dang man, I ain't never had no luck at all...

I like the Lasco tubs and shower basins the best. They have an excellent variety.
Regardless of brand though, think "Gel Coat." Big difference in feel and ease of cleaning.

That does it. For the past month I've been walking by an old VHS tape I have sitting there that I've never watched 'Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas'.
After reading your tag line now I have to put it in to see what it is.
I wonder if julesjulesjules will ever return. Sometimes those first time posters signup but don't use the email notification setup, forget about their post and never come back.

Hello Razzman and all,
I just got the e-mail notice that my posting actually got some responses!
So I hear Lasco, Manhatten, and Warmrain?
How about Kohler? American Standard? Aqua Glass? American Shower and bath? Crane? Jacuzzi?
There are so many manufacturers out there... How are their services? Is HomeDepot and Lowes the way to go to purchase these products?
thanks,
Julesjulesjules
Depends on what you are going to do with them.
Kinda senseless to put a higher end fixture in a rental when a $100-150 stool is going to give you the years you want out of it.

I didn't mean to imply that these were going into a rental! I'm asking more for residential remodeling, and or smaller contracts,
Who buys bath and shower fixtures from HomeDepot? that is an honest question.
What is your impression of "American Shower and Bath" company, and Aqua Glass for example?
Didn't mean to imply that was to be the use of the fixtures. Just an off the cuff comment.
Regarding plumbing fixtures from Lowes/Depot.
In the past threads have appeared here discussing claims by some as to lesser quality components being used in the manufacture for the bigbox retailers than one might find being made for resale in a more dignified specialized plumber's outlet. (g)
These were said to be made from the same major manufacturers looking outwardly the same with similar packaging.
Alas I do not have a direct link to provide that so you could access those threads but...
If you scroll down in the lower left corner of your screen there is a search function that will take you to previous threads dealing with whatever you type in the search bar.
Don't know what might work in the search bar. Perhaps 'inferior' and get yourself a large cup of coffee.
