I have just completed Renovating my Bathroom and installed porcelain tile around my Tub surround. I would now like to add a couple soap dishes, also porcelain and I’m wondering about the best adhesive to use? There are a lot of products out there that profess to do the job but I’d appreciate your personal experiences with this type of adhesive.
Many thanks…………JP

These porcelain soap dishes aren't "tile in"?
If you have something to glue on the surface..................oh boy, can't help you there.
If they're tile in, use the thinset you used for the tile-tape them till it dries, then grout as usual (or color matched caulk)
About 20 years ago I was advised to use silicone, & did. The soap dishes and towel rods are still there.
retrofit soapdish
Let me be a spoil sport and ask why didn't you plan and install these when you renovated the shower. I think it works best to install them at the original tile setting on the CBU as the rest of the tile.
There are types that are designed to be glued to the face of the tile.
I wondered
the same thing.
I have retrofitted soap dishes by cutting out a section of tile and then thinset a "normal" soapdish into the opening.
Noisy, dusty operation......
I've never seen a "glue on" soapdish for tile, but then I have never looked for one either, so that does not prove anything.
