I recently started remodeling the bathroom, mind you there is only one so it is really a PITA trying to keep everyone out. Anyway I managed to strip the floor down to the pine boards, layed down some 1/2 ply and over the top with some hardibacker. I didn’t realize how out of level it was in places until I was preparing to tile and was curious the best way to level it out if at all. I at the most in one or two places have a 1/4″ difference over 3′ using a straight edge. but for the most part its only out 1/16″ everywhere else. The bathroom is 6 x 9 not including the tub and closet which will remain intact.
Floorleveler? and if so will I need to spread it across the entire floor so I avoid any ridges at the end of the leveler.
Just use a thicker layer of thinset when laying the tile?
Thanks in Advance.
