To sell my house, I’m having the bathroom floor tiled and the installer simply tiled and grouted around the commode without lifting it. How tacky is that? I imagine that will create future problems if new owners ever need to replace the toilet.
Any advise taken to heart. Thanks

Get your tile guy back to your house and have him do it right . Or simply pull off the bowl cut the grout lines pull necessary tiles re-do the under side area . re-grout it . then replace wax ring , get longer flange bolts , re set bowl. and move on.
Very unprofessional on his part. And it probably took longer to cut the tiles to the right shape than it would have to pull the throne and tile under it.
Tell him to come back and finish the job. Hope you have not poaid in full.

Thank you all. I should've closed out this thread sooner, because I did have the fella come back and fix it correctly. It wasn't difficult because only the glue, not the grout had been applied. Cheers to giving me information as my ammunition..
DID YOU SAY GLUE................NO THINSET!?
