I am remodeling a 50 year old bath with a monster of a cast iron tub (I believe that it is a recycled German Tank) that’s coming out.
I am considering replacing it with a quality acrylic tub, vs. another cast iron due to hauling it up three flights of stairs, etc. This will be just a standard soaking tub, although my wife would like a tub with the air holes (not jets) in the Master Bath when I get to it.
Since the one for the MB will have to be acrylic, I was thinking about keeping the material consistent between both bathrooms (ie both acrylic).
Am I cheating myself by not using cast iron Any recommendations of mfrs of good quality acrylic tubs that won’t cost an arm and a leg?
Thanks for the input and assistance.
