I am renovating a 1930's bungalow on the peninsula of SF Bay area. I am looking for a good lumberyard to talk me through my natural material options for decking (framing will be pressure treated)- I was thinking I wanted to use Alaskan White Cedar- but I am open to something that will look spectacular, weather well, and complement an incredible oak tree (450 yr old). Any thoughts?
I am planning on using Dec-lips to hold the decking to the framing- the overall size is 13 by 18 or so- so I can spend for the better stuff.
Thanks
Ben
