Having seen my father do kitchen floors years back, I thought I would have no problem putting polyurethane on floor myself in my living room. Unfortunately I tried a new to me technique by using a lamb’s wool applicator instead of a brush as i am used to working with and ended up with bubbles. I really didn’t notice them until the 3rd coat. At first i thought the applicator had been shedding, but now on closer inspection i notice they are just bubbles.
I am trying to figure out if there is a way how to resolve this without stripping the polyurethane. To some degree i can live with the viusal aspect, but in some areas the floor feels rough, which I want to eliminate as much as possible. My thought is to do a light sanding and put on a fourth coat, brushed this time. Any other suggestions?

I'm not a floor expert, but a light, fine sanding followed by another coat should smooth things out for you.
