In the chicagoland area, Berland’s House of tools is the best store for any trade. They have the best, high quality tools under the sun, although sometimes they are outrageously overpriced. But I guess they can get away with that when they have such a great selection. Who else agrees with me?

Never heard of them. How about an example of their prices.
For example, the portercable 7.25" circular saw is $149.00 at Berlands. $119.00 at home depot. But sometimes the prices are pretty similar.
How long have you worked for Berland's ?
Or what kinda discount you getting for posting this ?
;)

I think I just saw an article about them in Tools of the Trade. If thats them the place sounds awesome, but that doesn't matter at all. If the prices are high, I'll shop somewhere else.

I definitely concur. It's where you go when you want a bigger selection or something the Depot wouldn't have. Until the Woodcraft opened up it was the only place to get Lie-Nielsen planes around here.
Berland's is the best tool store I've ever been to. Words can't describe.

Ditto. They get parts you need if they don't have in stock. Good people there, good prices, unreal selection. It was one of the few good things about working a couple big jobs in Chicago.
You're right, words can't describe the place. All the blood rushes out of my head when I go there. It is truley a contractors store.
They have two stores, one in I think Lombard and one in Palatine.
If they don't have it, you don't need it.
