Best place to get solid Red Oak flooring?
Anybody have any great recommendations for a place to get reasonably priced prefinished Red Oak flooring? Seems like there are plenty of negative reviews of Lumber Liquidators, Build Direct, HD, Lowe’s, etc. Is there anyplace that has a good product that doesn’t cost a fortune?
Thanks!

Last time I needed some red oak I got it from a local millworks place. But it wasn't cheap.

The above information is worthless.
I ordered mine through Home Depot. Nothing special, brand name is Bruce, a very common mfgr, but I think it went on well and looks well. 3/4"x2-1/4" prefinished Gunstock.

Flooring option
There are alot of dependencies. Every state/city has the usual HD, Lowes, or Lumber Liquidators. I like one of the posts recommendation to find a local mill works/yard. The mill will be a little more expensive and may not be able to match any special financing that HD or Lowes can offer. However, i'm sure the mill will have staff that know a lot more about flooring than HD or Lowes associates and they'll carry more of the extras you'll need like spline or special transition pieces. I went with Lowes for Bruce hardwood and now i'm starting to get some fading and splitting.
I'd recommend you also read a good wood flooring book for instruction or ideas. The ones i have recommend nails not staples and using an underlayment called Aquabar-B instead of rosin or tar/felt.
