   It's ussually detailed into the facia or if you have a kneewall structure it could be part of it.

   Do you have a ridge with two slopes away from it at 3/12?...Build up the ridge a few inches and put a steeper pitch on your build up...Then just use standard venting made for steeper pitches...do you have to vent in the first place?

   *Hi Mitch,Can you tell me it this is a new installation and the roof hasn't been covered, or is this a replacement or is this a new vent you want to put into an existing finished roof?New home or older home? Is the present roof assembly conventional engineered trusses with open attic space or insulated roof rafters?Sorry for the questions but it will make answering a lot easier and accurate.Gabe

   Can anyone recommend a Ridge Vent for use on a Tar and Gravel Roof (3 in 12 pitch)?

   Any tips for installation?
