Best way to level for prefinished flo…

All suggestions welcome. Thanks. 24 x 2 wide addition out onto client’s deck. got 1.25″ slope in the 2′. client wants to finish with 1/2″ armstrong prefinish. Floor leveling compound and glue? Strips of ply and paper and staples? Whatdoyouthink?
