   Did you take those because you thought I'd be interested in seeing them, or to poke fun at me???

   I'd say they're typical of what I've seen in homemade trusses - Completely inadequate connections.

   Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

   Thought you'd be interested - not poke fun.

   Most homemade trusses I see (and I see a lot in inexpensive ranches from the 50's and 60's) use plywood gussets, like where the web pieces connect; I'd never seen one bolted at the peak before, though.

   So is that greenery in the attic a Holiday wreath, or bushes growing as a result of roof failure?  :-)
